Wandering Buoy along the Berlin wall 2009

Between August 13th and November 9th (i.e. the day the Berlin Wall was erected and the day it came down) the Wandering Buoy circled Berlin stopping wherever stories were found connected to the Berlin Wall. We retold escape stories, stories of the guards, of protests, art actions and families torn apart.

Was der Leierkastenmann vom Ganzen hält

Der Leierkastenmann sagt: „Es ist eine Schande, wie hier am Brandenburger Tor oder am Checkpoint Charly die Leute in den Alliiertenuniformen stehen und sich für Geld mit Touristen fotografieren lassen. Ich selbst musste 2 Jahre lang zwangsweise eine Uniform tragen, und finde daran nichts Amüsantes. Ich wollte die Mauer immer weghaben und habe früher sogar dafür demonstriert!“
